This past week physical science students travelled to St. Clair Community College in Port Huron to complete the Earth Odyssey mission at the Challenger Learning Center. They each had specific tasks in both mission control, and aboard a spacecraft and were challenged to connect to and repair a satellite that was not functioning properly. The group showed a great amount of teamwork and were able to flex their science and engineering skills!

Over the past few weeks, our Careers class has been busy exploring the many career opportunities our community has to offer 🌟. Students have stepped beyond the classroom to experience real-world career pathways firsthand.

They have toured Scheurer Hospital 🏥, Gemini Group–GPMI 🏭, the Huron County Courthouse ⚖️ with Judge Prill, and the Huron Regional Water Authority 💧. Each visit provided valuable insight into different industries and helped students better understand the skills, education, and pathways involved in these professions.

These hands-on experiences are helping students connect their interests to future careers while building a deeper appreciation for the amazing resources right here in our community 🌍.

Our physical science students had a truly “hair-raising” experience this week as they explored static electricity using a Van de Graaff generator! ⚡😄

This hands-on activity kicked off their new unit on electricity and magnetism—topics they’ll be diving deeper into over the next few weeks. Learning is always more exciting when you can see (and feel!) science in action!

Good luck to all of our students during assessments—you’ve got this! 💪📚

North Huron is incredibly grateful to the local businesses and professionals who joined us for the North Huron Career Fair on Friday March 13th! With 34 companies represented, our 6th-12th grade students had the opportunity to explore a diverse range of career paths and ask meaningful questions about their futures.

We want to give a special shout-out to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Huron Behavioral Health for hosting our breakout rooms where they were able to speak in depth about their careers and take time to answer student questions.

A special thank you to our five guest panelists who shared their personal career journeys and insights with our students.
Thank you for investing in our students and our community!

Recently some of our science students rolled up their sleeves and dove into hands-on learning by dissecting cow eyeballs and worms! 🔬🐄🪱

These engaging lab experiences gave students the opportunity to explore anatomy up close, identify key structures, and better understand how living organisms function. From examining the intricate parts of the eye to observing the internal systems of worms, students applied classroom knowledge in a real-world, memorable way.

Check out the photos to see our future scientists in action.
