North Huron School Receives “A” CAP Report Card Grade

The Mackinac Center for Public Policy released the 2022-2024 Michigan Public Elementary and Middle School Context and Performance Database score recently. Each district’s scores are adjusted by controlling for differences in the socioeconomic status of the students served by the school which provides a more accurate assessment of a school’s performance.  The Michigan Context and Performance (CAP) Report Card measures school performance by adjusting standardized test scores to account for student background – the “context” of a school.

In the 2022-2024 report cycle North Huron School received a CAP Grade of “A” for the Elementary and Middle School scores which reflected growth from previous years’ analysis. In a statewide ranking, the District was #171 out of 2188 school buildings with a percentile score of 92.18, which is the highest ranking of any Huron County school in this reporting cycle.

A school’s CAP Report Card is based entirely on how well that school performs compared to other schools. A high “CAP Score” means that a school performs well compared to its peers.
