  • Cleaning and disinfecting of the exposed location have been completed.
  • If your child was in close contact with a confirmed individual, you will be contacted by the Huron County Health Department. Please take their call and follow the recommendations they provide.
  • All confirmed cases should be isolated and close contacts quarantined for 14 days from last exposure in order to prevent illness in new persons. “Close contact” means being a house hold member, intimate contact, or caregiver of a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case; within 6 feet of the confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case for more than 15 minutes, even if wearing a non-medical face covering; or having unprotected contact with the infected person’s body fluids and/or secretions, for example, being coughed or sneezed on.

As the safety of our students and staff is our number one concern, it has been determined that the remote learning schedule for students in grades 1-12 will continue as it has been, with elementary students learning from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day and secondary students learning from 9:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. Students attending tech center courses and dual enrollment courses should also continue to follow the instructions provided by your instructors in each class. Kindergarten students will follow the elementary schedule through December 18, 2020.

At this point time, North Huron School will continue remote instruction through December 18, 2020. The winter break begins December 21, 2020 and ends on January 4, 2021.  Currently we expect to return to face-to-face instruction on January 4, 2021.   We will monitor the cases reported in our population and adjust our plan to return to school if needed.

Please contact either the Elementary or Secondary Office during their regular hours if you have any questions or concerns regarding the information in this notice. For additional questions about COV ID-19, please visit the Huron County Health Department at https://www.hchd. us/.
